I know there have been points when I have delayed or prolonged your projects, and I do not want to effect your clientele negatively. I know I have mentioned this before, but I never truly thought it through enough to develop a solution. Whatever I state below is open to discussion, because keeping you as a client, and helping you with your workload is my primary focus. First I wanted to say that the CCR changes are done. I finished them Friday, but didn’t get a chance to email you until today. I ended up doing the HTML coding because there was some special css rollovers I wanted to incorporate. I also enlarged and redid the flash, and included the green in various parts of the site. Let me know if this is what they had in mind. I uploaded the new site to www.mlapalm.com/CCR/index2.php Here is my plan: I will be designing a php help desk system. This system could be used on my website, or it could be put on yours. Your customers could input tickets and watch as the site develops if you choose to activate that feature. If you do not want your customers interacting directly with me, then you can post the tickets and job tasks. The features of this system are as follows: Browse by project This system could incorporate multiple contractors so you could post jobs and tasks for other people working for you as well Post individual tickets for each project Each project will have a deadline right on the home page, and a day counter as to how many days remain before the deadline is surpassed. This deadline could be only seen by you, or also seen by your customers activated by a flag. You will be able to upload graphics and images associated with a given project. You will receive a copy of your ticket, and you will know via email the second I begin and finish working on any given project. I will be raising my rates to $70 / hour. Because I have delayed deadlines in the past I am willing to say that If any given project goes beyond the projected deadline, I am willing to accept half of my going rate ($35/hour). This will give me immediate incentive to finish projects within the deadline, and some assurance to you that you can commit a time to the client. This will increase workflow, communication, and decrease forgotten tasks and lost emails. If you want something bumped to the absolute top of my priority list, and I will commit it working on nothing else until the project is done my rate is $100 / hour. Let me know what you think about all this, as I am looking to develop something that works well for both of us. -John Paul
